The Joplin Area Welcome Club is a community organization established to help people get acquainted with one another and with our area.

 

 

 

The club is open to anyone new to the area within the last 5 years.  All are welcome to come to our monthly luncheons the last Monday of each month. The time and place are listed on our home page.  Call  or e-mail for more information.

 

 

 

Members are encouraged to invite new neighbors and acquaintances to attend our functions.  The best means for reaching newcomers is “word of mouth.”  Help increase our membership by passing the word about this great group. We have approximatly 82 members.

 

History

 

The

Joplin Area Welcome Club was established in 1981 to welcome new residents to the Joplin area and to provide opportunities for people to become acquainted and develop friendships with others in the four-state area.  We also strive to increase members' knowledcge of the area and to aid the community through charitable and humanitarian projects. 

 

Groups are Formed Based on Interest

 

We form groups,  such as Antiquing, Golfing, Gourmet Dining, Armchair Travellers, Theater Night, etc. based on the interest of members. Occasional bus trips are also planned.
